Job Description
Zycus is seeking a hands-on and visionary Director of Engineering to lead high-performing teams in building next-generation SaaS products powered by AI and GenAI. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical acumen with strong leadership skills to architect, design, and deliver innovative enterprise-grade solutions at scale.
You will drive product excellence through modern engineering practices, team mentorship, and adoption of emerging technologies — including Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation — to help Zycus stay at the forefront of product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, design, and implementation of complex enterprise applications.
- Build and scale high-performing engineering teams, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Partner with Product Management and AI research teams to integrate GenAI capabilities into Zycus’s product ecosystem.
- Ensure technical excellence, scalability, and performance through active participation in design and code reviews.
- Champion modern software development practices including CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
- Take complete ownership of end-to-end design, development, and delivery of quality enterprise applications.
Job Requirement
Technical Skills:
- Programming: Java, J2EE, and related modern frameworks.
- Architecture: Strong understanding of scalable, distributed, and event-driven systems.
- Frontend Technologies: Angular, React.js, Node.js (Full Stack experience preferred).
- Databases: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL systems like MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, DynamoDB.
- Messaging & Search: Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr, ElasticSearch, Kibana, ELK Stack, Logstash.
- Cloud & SaaS: Proven experience with SaaS/cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- AI & GenAI: Exposure to large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and AI integration within enterprise workflows.
- Methodology: Expertise in Agile and DevOps-based development environments.
